1. Linear Motion Shale Shaker Introduction

The linear Motion Shale Shaker is the first-level equipment for solid-liquid separation of drilling fluid, suitable for the drilling fluid solids control system of oil and gas drilling.
The shale shaker uses two vibrating motors with equal mass and diameter products, and according to the principle of self-synchronization, realizes the linear movement of the screen box in a certain direction, and achieves the purpose of screening and discharging the cuttings particles in the drilling fluid.

A very important parameter of a shale shaker is its processing capacity. 2. Linear Motion Shale Shaker Selection

When selecting a shale shaker, first select a suitable screen according to the size and granularity of the solid particles in the drilling fluid. The size of the holes on the screen is indicated by "mesh".
The so-called mesh number of the screen refers to the number of holes per inch (in) side length of the screen. The larger the mesh, the smaller the holes. For example: a square mesh screen has 12 holes per inch, which is called a 12-mesh screen, which is expressed as 12x 12 by API standards.

3. Linear Motion Shale Shaker Working Principle

The linear motion shale shaker is a two-axis self-synchronizing inertial linear shale shaker. Two obliquely installed vibration motors of equal mass diameter product rotate in opposite directions. According to the self-synchronization theory, under certain conditions, the rotational motions of the two vibration motors will follow each other, achieving synchronous reverse rotation with a phase difference of 0 in a short period of time.

At positions a and c, the two centrifugal forces are superimposed and the excitation force is the largest; at positions b and d, the two centrifugal forces are completely offset, and the excitation force is zero. It can be seen that the centrifugal force generated by the two vibration motors forms a resultant force after superimposition, the direction of which is always perpendicular to the motor mounting surface, and the magnitude of the resultant force changes according to the sinusoidal law.

Since the resultant force passes through the center of mass of the screen box, this sinusoidally varying excitation force will drive the entire screen box to vibrate periodically along a linear trajectory perpendicular to the motor mounting surface, and each point of the screen box has the same Direction and magnitude of vibration.
